1. The service
stepbystepcalculator.com is run by Rob Walker as an individual (“we”, “us”). It provides free online calculators. You don’t need an account and there is no charge. We may add, change or remove features, or pause the site, at any time.
2. Use the results with care
We work hard to make the calculators accurate, but they are general tools. Results are rounded for display (see How it works), and any calculation is only as good as the numbers entered. Nothing on the site is financial, tax, legal, medical or other professional advice. Check important figures yourself, or with a qualified professional, before you rely on them.
3. Acceptable use
Please don’t misuse the site. That includes trying to disrupt or overload it, probing it for vulnerabilities without permission, scraping it in a way that affects other users, or using it for anything unlawful.
4. Your calculation history
Your history is stored in your own browser. We can’t see it, back it up or restore it. It may be lost if you clear your browser data, use a private window or change device. Our privacy policy explains how we handle information.
5. Intellectual property
The site’s design, text, code and branding belong to us or our licensors. You may use the calculators and share links to any page. You may quote short extracts of our articles with a link back. Please don’t copy the site or its content wholesale.
6. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, the site is provided “as is”. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on its results, including indirect or consequential loss. Where our liability can’t be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to supplying the service again.
8. Links to other sites
We may link to other websites. We don’t control them and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
